International Mechanical Royalties

From the U.S. perspective, these are mechanical royalties paid for uses of a composition that occur outside the U.S. In general, ex-U.S. physical mechanicals do not have a fixed penny rate like the U.S. statutory rate, but usually are paid as a percentage of the wholesale price. International mechanical royalties are one of the royalty types most often not collected by U.S.-based songwriters who do not have a publishing administrator.
